not yet gone & some photos
PS- I finally updated the photo gallery with some photos from our work formal dinner last Friday night. I organised this 3 course dinner for almost 60 staff and partners. It was awesome!!!! Photos here
oh wow. I hadn't checked in to my site in a few weeks and I just read all the comments from the post below and I'm blown away. People really say some nice things and it makes me sad to think that there are all these people out there still reading. I wasn't really aware there were so many of you.
Well, in the hiatus I did re-register the domain for another 12 months..... just in case! And I've been looking into buying another domain and slowly moving everything over to that. So Muntedmess.com might disappear into internet oblivion in another 11 months or so, but I won't be gone.
The reason I'm wanting to change domains, is that muntedmess just doesn't really mean anything to me anymore. It suited my personality 6+ years ago, where I felt like I was a bit of a fucked up mess. But now - its just not me. I figure I'll get a domain that name-related, that way I can use it for anything in the future - personal website and photo gallery, portfolio, who knows what!
I like that I can check in with friends and fellow work mates through their websites... catch up on their family news, see photos of their kids, holiday snaps etc etc, and I want to have a place that everyone knows where to find me. Muntedmess has been that place for 6+ years, but its time for a change. A new domain that is better suited to the real me.
I'm not sure if I should just go with my full name as the domain. I mean its logical but it just doesn't have a cool ring to it. It's available though.
The domain I really want isn't available at the moment... it expires at the start of next month and I'm going to try and get it using an expired domain drop catcher service. So fingers crossed!!!
