woah, hello June! Its gotten cold here lately, and now I'm starting to regret planning a 5 day trip to Melbourne for middle of July, middle of winter. BRRRRRR! I'm wondering if I should invest in some thermal underwear hehehe.

We're staying in an apartment in the middle of the city, rather than doing the backpacker thing. I can't wait!

Rhiannon and I have been talking about accommodation options while we're on our roadtrip and we're considering Couch Surfing. At first I was a bit worried, but after signing up and doing a few searches for female hosts who have room for 2 travelers, I've been pleasantly surprised.
There are some really cool sounding people on there, who have really detailed profiles, plus the regular couch surfing hosts have plenty of referrals and feedback from people who have stayed with them. So I feel like we could find a decent and trustworthy person through this site.

A few of them even have spare bedrooms available, not just a couch in the middle of the lounge room, so I wouldn't feel like we're completely invading their space.

This could potentially save us so much money. And with the ever increasing gas prices, any money we can save in other aspects of the trip is an extra bonus! More spending money!


Last weekend mum came down to Brisbane and she dyed my hair for me. We decided to go a lighter copper colour. I had gone to a few salons and got some quotes to go this colour and holy crap! I dont know how I'll survive when mum is not able to do my hair for me. My regular place I go to for trims was pretty hopeless. The girl had NO idea and was suggesting doing back to back foils or some shit, but pretty much said I would have to go back for a second visit in 6 weeks to really get to the colour. So it would cost so much, because she "didn't want to damage my hair by doing a straight bleach wash".
Another really pricey salon actually knew what they were talking about, but their price for a bleach wash, permanent colour/tint, cut and treatment was $325!
I told mum and she laughed. It would use about $20-30 worth of product, but these salons have an incredible mark up. I guess they have to cover their wages and rent (since they were both inner city salons) but screw that!

Luckily mum was coming down and we did the bleach wash & tint and it worked fine. It didn't damage my hair at all, in fact we probably should have used a stronger bleach wash to really bring the colour down.

Sometimes I think I would like to be a hairdresser and I regret not taking an interest in it when I was younger and living at home. But I think I mostly just like having my own hair done :D

Anyway the long term goal is to keep growing my hair and when it gets a bit longer, maybe go a lighter copper colour, and get some blonde foils underneath the tops layers of my hair, around the sides.

AHHHHHHHH I dont know why, but i just haven't been able to bring myself to blog lately. I'm only blogging now because I signed into my account to put some google adsense on my page.
I know, I'm such a sell out. but this partly what I do at work.... monetising domains, and i've put it off long enough. since I refuse to remove my website all together, if its just going to sit here and keep costing me money, the least I can do is TRY to make a little bit of cash on the side. I seriously doubt it will work, but hey, at least its cool to have a search box (see above). that could come in handy....right?

Anyway, the internet has gone to shit. A few weeks ago I was doing my irfrequent check of old-faithful blogs and i freaked the fuck out when i went to spy on Renee Stage (aka Nay) from sacred.nu.... She's gone hard-core!

She's now using a stage name Ashton Von and although she's still only doing 'nearly nude' shots and not full on nakedness yet, she's given up the regular cam girl blog altogether. *cry*

I realize I'm such a hypocrite, wanting Nay to remain forever as an innocent camgirl who blogs all the time and never leaves the internet, when I'm so over it all and can't bring myself to blog.

So what have I been up to lately? I went to sydney for a family reunion. 4 days of quality family time hehehe. 16 of us all together, staying at my aunt's newly built house. My younger cousins are all growning up so fast and are all fantastic. It's a shame we don't all see each other more, but I'm hoping that will change in the next few years.
Valentines day was good - I used it as an excuse to practice my underdeveloped cooking skills and cooked a romantic dinner for the boy. New York baked cheesecake was for dessert and was my pride and joy.
The other weekend, I got behind the wheel of a car for the first time in 7 years or so. The boy's sister is helping me re-learn to drive... I admit I was completely scared but it turned out to be not so bad. I mostly drive around quiet surburban streets but hit a few main roads and I managed to survive. I've been so anti-car for so long, but I've been starting to realize that I will want a car someday in the future, and although its not often a problem now (because I live innercity and can walk or bus it everywhere), one day I will have to move and will need a car. I liked to pretend that my reasons for not wanting a car was solely for environmental reasons, but truthfully I was just scared of Brisbane traffic. I had only ever driven in small town Bundaberg, and the thought of all these multi-lane streets and highways just confused and scared my pants off.

Although you probably can't tell from the very few photos or webcam pics I've had up lately, I'm trying to grow my hair. Its been short for years and I just feel like I'm finally ready to try having long hair again. I'm not talking butt length (nor could I have the patience to grow it that long) but I'm hoping for at least shoulder length, with lots of layers. Growing out the fringe is horribly frustrating, but its slowly getting there. I have been considering the idea of going lighter as well, but I know this red is going to be a bitch to bleach out. Still, I'm not wanting to go full on blonde, but perhaps just coppery brown, with highlights and lowlights of course. I just really need to wait for it to grow a bit more and then I can foil or streak it. Anyway its a work in progress, but damn its hard to be patient.
