[Breast Reduction Journal] day#70- full body comparison
holy crap, i just added up the days and its day 70!!! 10 weeks!!!
I have used the silicon gel sheets, Cica-care, for a whole month (31 days) and I'm just taking a bit of a break as my skin around my nipples sometimes gets a bit sore from constantly taping and uptaping and taping again. The micro-pore tape is super duper sticky and pulling it off twice a day and reapplying it straight away is slightly irritating my skin. Not irritating but sometimes it feels like I'm ripping off a layer of skin with the tape. Luckily its not on the nipples or the scars, but just the skin around it.
I've been using Rosehip Oil and vitamin E oil on my scars in the meantime, but after this week I'll probably start up the second lot of silicon gel sheets.
Its hard to see a difference from day to day but they have definitely dropped to a more natural shape. Of course they are still uber perky and there is no way I could ever hold a pencil under them again hehehe.
I finally got the surgeon's before and after photos and wow, it was horrible. The befores I mean. SOOOO not flattering. But I got the fullbody before and the fullbody after photo and put them on top of each other in photoshop and tried to resize them to match. I lined up a few moles on my chest and shoulder and then faded one picture out and the other picture in and the difference is amazing. I still wish I had lost a bit more on my bum/hips but oh well. Can't complain.
Check out the full body comparison animated picture. I can't believe I'm showing off this horrible before photo, but at least I dont look like that anymore.

Well the before photo certainly doesn't look "horrible" by any means. The raising of your breasts has made your torso look longer and more slender, it's quite astounding and hot ;) Your legs look much more proportionate to the rest of your body now, all round fabulous!

It saddens me a bit that you thought you looked horrible before. You really didn't, not at all. It sucks so bad how we perceive ourselves to be and how we put so much pressure on ourselves because of that silly cultural brainwashing. The lengths we go to in order to fit in...sigh. I fall victim to it too sometimes.

You didn't look horrible at all before the surgery. Although, I can definitely see improvement all around. Your body appears slimmer and, for lack of a better word, taller. I'm so glad your recovery is going so well.
I've been meaning to tell you that I commend you for being so brave as to show any/all of the pre- and post-operative photos of your breast reduction surgery and liposuction. It takes a lot of guts, to say the least, and you have painted a positive and informative point of view of the recovery process. Thank you for continuing to share this experience with others. :)

Have you done anything else to tone up post-op, like dieting or a stepped exercise regimen?

If you're tired of using that other stuff for scar care, you might want to consider this stuff (if you haven't already): http://www.mederma.com/
I had a couple scars (one on my forehead) from childhood injury that were 10-20 years old. Using this stuff for a few months made a HUGE difference and the scars are now far less noticable. There are a couple small ones that are now almost completely unnoticable (I don't even think about them any more).

Hi, I am having breast reduction surgery in December and I was just wondering what bra size you are now? I think your results are amazing and hopefully mine will be something like that too! Thanks

Hi, I had breast reduction surgery 10 days ago, I am so overwhelmed with my result so far. Having had 2 children and gravity taking it's toll, I only wished I had this precedure done years ago,I have gone from a large DD cup to a small C cup.It has been a life changing move for me.Some people really do not know what it is like to have large breasts, constant having back/neck pain. I like you, now feel that I can show my before photos to all to see as I am so proud of what I have gone thru to achieve my new look.I too have had a positive recovery period so far,I am still up to the dressing the wound time,(and oh my god that paper tape does itch now) I still have a way to go and I thank you for your insight of where I will be in a few months time. YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
