i know quizzes are usually more a livejournal thing, but i thought this one was pretty interesting. satanism is 4th? weird.

so hmmm what's been happening? i went and saw End Of Fashion last saturday for the second time. The first time I saw them, I really enjoyed their show in a 'wow this is really awesome new music' kind of way. This time though, I enjoyed them on a whole new level because I knew all the songs so well. They are so much heavier and rockier live!

also saw Serenity on friday night- god it was so good.... but the ending - zomg! noooo! argh they need to do another movie, or even better another tv series. movies just dont satisfy me the way a whole tv series does.

mum arrives in a few more days, and i'm really excited to have her visiting. there's just something about parents... no matter how old i get, how independant i feel, having them around gives me this feeling of safety/security. Plus life's been pretty sweet lately and there's so much I want to show and tell mum- just to have her approval, hear her thoughts, share all of it with her. Then there's also the fact that i can't stand my hair right now, and i'm looking forward to a new look, heh heh.

We're hopefully taking mum to dinner at the Turkish restaurant down the road. The boy and I went there for a lazy sunday lunch a while ago and the food was awesome. I had this dish called "Hunkar begend- Sauteed tender spring lamb cubs bedded with bbq cooked creamy eggplant" and it was so fucking delicious. The eggplant was mashed up and was creamy- just like a really nice creamy mash, only it was mashed eggplant. I dont know about you, but I would have never thought to mash eggplant... Mashed potato- of course. Mashed pumpkin- yum. Mashed sweet potato - great. but eggplant??? and the lamb was just divine. The char grill dish came with lots of grilled veges, including eggplant and mum absolutely loves eggplant, so she is excited to eat at this place.
Sunday, we're heading into town for some shopping (birthday shopping! yay!) and then mum's cooking a special seafood meal for us. Should be the best pre-birthday weekend ever!!!!

naturally, when you're eagerly anticipating the weekend the week just draaaaags on. *sigh*
