sorry site, i just dont have time for you right now
i would like to apologise to my website for seriously neglecting it. life has been a bit busy, true. but mostly its because life is just damn sweet at the moment. and a happy, satisfied girl is not really blogger-material. despite recovering from a pretty nasty cold/flu, that was brought on by too much fun (late nights, booze, cigarettes, cold air) during the last 2 weeks, i've had an awesome, relaxing weekend at home.... with company.
boys are nice. not all, i know that from experience, but certain ones are very nice. and i'm mighty pleased to have found a great one.
i'll be bloggin again soon, for sure. i just dont want to share everything i'm going through right now with everyone... and unfortunately, anything i write here is eventually read by pretty much everyone i know. *waves*
a few random thoughts- i've got more tegan and sara gig photos to go through... my sister has finally gotten net at home again- i had really missed talking to her, and we're both too lazy when it comes to the phone... i recently saw the new Rent trailer, and i got serious goosebumps watching it. i cannot WAIT for this movie, as well as Serenity. i had the most vivid dream last night about going back to thailand..and now i am motivated to brush up on my thai skills and go back over there again soon... and i'd really like to take someone with me. it would be so much more fun sharing the experience with someone i really care about.

I caught the original cast,of Rent, on Broadway,a lot of whom have made it to the movie cast. If its only half as good as the play it should be great fun.
Its on my too see list too.

awwwww i wish i had been able to see the original broadway cast back in the day. apart from mimi and joanne, all the original cast members are there (i think). I was a bit iffy about Rosario Dawson playing Mimi, but on the official website they have a music player that plays snippets of the new songs and you can hear Rosario in a couple of songs, and she actually sounds quite good.

Every thing I've heard has been really great so far, and I live close enough to NYC that there have been lots of news and specials on the making of the movie here.
As far as the re-casting goes, Hollywood just cant help itself,they need "movie stars", its all they know.

that's true, but also Daphne Rubin-Vega is/was pregnant at time of filming.... plus she really is a bit too old to be playing a 19 year old junkie. on stage, is one thing, but under the harsh cameras... yea i dont think so. i dont remember the reason why the original joanne didn't come back.

haha, I live right next to this stuff and love going to it and reading about it,but your on the other side of the world and know soooo much more then I do its rediculous. I dont know why the people didnt come back either,I just assumed that Hollywood forced the casting changes. You really never cease to amaze me when you talk about the things you love :)

It would probably be Calgary since Winnipeg is not really a step up from Regina more of a lateral move, plus no PST in Alberta so that is a bonus when Rover has to purchase Pedigree dog food.
