the internal editor thingy i use at work is being upgraded at the moment and i can't really do ANYTHING right now, so i thought i'd update. i feel terribly guilty for not blogging anything in such a long time, and then i feel pissed off that blogging has become such a chore. i'd like to blame it on all of you- you who annoy me with your comments, but its not you (well ok, maybe). i just haven't had anything to say. i've been spending alot of good quality time with rach and our daily catch ups have given us (well me) good opportunity to rant and rave, leaving me with nothing to blog about. its good, i'm not complaining. real life company and friendships are kicking ass over online substitutes.
life has been good, albeit a bit monotonous... work, gym, home, dinner/tv/msn, sleep... repeat!
weekends have been lots of fun. last weekend i went to the most awesome 21st. i cried when her dad got up and sung "Father & Daughter" by Paul Simon..... i laughed at all the funny/embarassing photos that were being projected onto a screen during speeches by friends and family... and i got absolutely shitfaced and met lots of fun people, and danced til my feet hurt later that night at the goth club. hehehehe goth clubs are funny. they actually played awesome music. i just wish i had been wearing fluro colored clothes or something :D
the following day i was completely dead. i kept moving between my bed and the couch, and i couldn't stand to sit up at the computer for more than 30 seconds, so EVEN if i had been able to string together a coherent sentence, blogging was out of the question.
work has been..... worky. still enjoying it. i've been in super duper productive mode since a certain someone has gone on holidays. its amazing how much work i can accomplish during a day when i am distractionless. hehehehe jk.
mum's been in sydney this week since the Hair Expo last weekend. She arrives in Brisbane on Saturday and we've got a kick ass night planned. Dinner with cousins and mum at a mexican restaurant *droooools* and then we're catching a late night secret Wil Anderson gig at the Comedy Club. He's been performing nightly for the past couple of weeks and Saturday is his last two shows.... so he decided to put on a secret gig after his last show- "lots of drinking, swearing and maybe even a special guest". Luckily Aaron had signed up to his mailing list, so as soon as we heard about it we booked tickets! And only $10!!!! I hear its already booked out.
I have to admit, I am kinda regretting not going to see his Kil Wil show with work people or with my cousins. I passed up both opportunities to go along. But every week I watch the Glass House and I have to say, he's pretty funny. I'm glad i'll get to see him perform even if he's trashed and tired.
So after what could end up being a late and very fun night, we're playing hairdressers on sunday- so expect new hair and lots of cam action. altho i want to cut it short again, i think i'll leave bits of it longer while its still winter. when summer rolls around again *snip* it'll all be gone. but for now, i would like to embrace the mullet and shaggy bits.
i found a tonne of awesome hair pics the other day, while looking on myspace. there are just so many young, cute, goth/punk girls on there with the most kick ass hair- its depressing. so the best i can do is COPY their hair styles.
anyway lunch is half over and i'm starving

Rhi, Your hair is always awesome. So there is no need to be jealous. Perhaps I am behind the times, but I got the impression you are more of a hair trendsetter than a follower... :D

Strongblade comment.
If i had $1 for everyone of those I read.
Anyways, actually this time I agree with the SB. Rhi, ur hair is always pretty fuckin' rad!! Is it only your mums styling - or do you see a local person between visits?
.. Is your mum still good to do mine? Maybe there's hope yet!
:D

w00t, wil anderson! :D
I'm the same - I kind of don't know why I didn't go see him at the powerhouse, and I was regretting it a little. I think I just procrastinated too long when David asked if I wanted to go.
But perhaps it was just meant to be that we'd see him. Plus I'm expecting he'll be pretty off his face, so he should be extra funny I reckon. :)
Plus this special guest - I wonder if that's for real?! :D
I've been soooo hanging out for a night out, too, so I want it to be Saturday now! Oh well, at least today's Friday - "Beer Appreciation Day" :)

Hey MuntedM,
Long time reader, 456th time poster.
I was fortunate enough to see Wil's opening night @ Powerhouse a few weeks ago, and here's my comments/feedback.
He is very funny, and always very drunk, but if you went to the JJJ Last Time show with Adam Spencer @ Tivoli last year, you would have heard about 20% of his jokes already.
Having said that, he is very good.
HOWEVER, if you get a chance, you have to see Tripod. They are the Doug Anthony Allstars for 2005 !!! Sure, not as edgy, and they wear less black, and this time, the guitarist doesn't cop it, but musically, theatrically, and comedically, they are unbelievably tight.
Like Katie Holmes tight :P Hehehe, couldn't resist.
In conclusion, you will enjoy Wil Anderson in whatever form/ drunken state you find him in tomorrow night, but my personal opinion is that whilst Wil is great, Tripod are greater. 10AC

I saw Wil & Adam when they were at the tivoli, and went to Tripod last friday night :)
But as funny as they were, Dave Hughes was funnier.
But again, as funny as Dave Hughes was, Ross Noble was funnier still! :D
Saw Danny Bhoy, too, but he was maybe only as funny as Adam & Wil. Though that's still damn funny!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow night cos I've never been to the Sit Down Comedy Club, I haven't gone out for AGES, I'm going with people I enjoy hanging out with, and... what the last thing? Oh, that's right - BOOZE!! =)
So if Wil makes me laugh heaps - which I think he's likely to do - then I'm getting more out of the night than I expected :D

Quick comment while I try to sober up some more before getting some sleep...
CRAZIEST NIGHT EVER! :D
The show was AMAZING! Adam Hills was on stage with Wil for most of the show, so we got two acts in one! We spotted Tripod! (minus Yon) We did the groupie bit for a while, managing to chat to all the guys! And we waited for a cab with some ex-Broncos star players! =)
So I think it's safe to say we all had a great night! :D
(I'll leave it up to Rhiannon to fill in all the details of the night - don't want to steal her glory :) )
