signing in from some remote location

reporting to you live and wireless from my dining table: so yes, the lappy is going sweet. this wireless is the best. although with these stupid nails, typing is hard and balancing willow on my lap is only made harder with them. so i haven't moved around much more than table-balcony-bed.

i think i might have to download firefox as i think safari is not showing all the features in this 'creat a post' page in blogger. it usually has a bar of tools across the top with things olike insert image, insert link, bold, italics, edit html etc. but in safari it only shows spell check and insert image. so yea, my posts are lacking links at the moment.

i really need to redesign my site. i am nominated for a cammie again this year, second year in a row. and my site was exactly the same this time last year. how sad. in the camsite world, that is so slack of me. if you would like to vote for the cammies, check them out here http://www.everybodyisawhiteboy.com/projects/cammies/

another week is almost over, and my favourite day of the week, friday is just around the corner. wheeeee. its spunky amita's birthday tomorrow, so we are hanging back at work for celebratory drinks. dan is having his bday party as well, so hopefully will be ending up there too.
and then.........

rach and i want to get our tats on saturday! i'm phoning up tomorrow to book a time. i am still not 100% sure what i'm getting yet but it is going down the back of my neck/back. i have a few pages of tattoo print outs including a whole bunch of phrases in chinese. body, mind, spirit, 3 characters. Libra - 3 characters, karma- 2 characters (not long enough), (there is karma in tibetan in the books at the tattoo place- could definately get that somewhere else tho), new beginnings- 4 characters (it might seem lame but with the whole breakup, new part of my life starting etc it kinda seemed like a nice thing to get), no regrets - 2 characters, and finally 'life is change'- 5 characters. i reallly like that, its a nice thing to remind yourself of, life is change. mmmm so i'm not sure what exactly to get, but i guess i'll take the print outs in and decide then and there, heheh

so yea woot that's my fascinating life for now.

the whole originality thing is just stupid. you can argue that nothing is original anymore.
i already have 2 tattoo's- one in my lower back (how unoriginal) and one on my shoulder (its an asian character how unoriginal)

but it comes down to the fact that its my body. and i would prefer to get something that i like, no matter how unoriginal it might be, rather than getting something so 'different and original' and a 'different and original' place just so i can seem unique, and cool and 'different and original'...

tattoo's go thru phases- ankle tats were big 10 years ago, now girls all seem to get the lower back tats. if i like some style of tattoo or some place to get a tattoo, i'm going to get it, and not care if everyone else has it.

i have facial piercings, nowadays those are so 'unoriginal'. my hair cut is pretty 'unorigial' now.

making smart ass, semi-derogatory comments on someone's site, that's pretty darn unoriginal too. maybe you should be original and piss off if you have nothing else to do except rag on me.

You have to ask yourself why you are attracted to conforming. Do you wish to understand the biological instinct for conformity, and thereby have a more comprehensive map for life, or are you happy being a confused herd animal that is doomed to remain a enslaved to primitive drives?

I'm not interested in being original. I am here to study the behaviour of a 23 year old female.

I might add that my motive for posting the comment was to express my own distaste for tattoos.

The women of the Karen Padaung villages in Thailand wear brass rings around their neck. If the rings were removed, their necks would be unable to support the weight of the head. My point is that just because something is fashionable, it doesn't make it objectively beautiful.

Anyway, I guess you only want comments that flatter you, so I shall desist from making any further.

you dont think tats on girls are 'beautiful'. that's cool. but i like them hence why i am choosing to get another.

you are entitled to your own opinion, but obviously my opinion differs from yours so why do you feel the need to share your opinion?

you want to rant about how you dont like tattoo's on girls? start up a blog and do it there. i promise not to come along and comment negatively at anything you say.

as for the neck rings- bullshit, the rumour is that those rings stretch the neck and when they remove it, the neck is too weak to support the head. bullshit. the rings slowly stretch the neck/shoulder muscles and their ribcages are pushed down, not their neck stretched.
i visited one of the tribes when in thailand.

i'm not getting a tattoo to confirm. i'm not getting one to rebel.

I think it's a bit stupid that you're getting all shitty that people are writing negative comments. I mean, this is the internet. Free speech, remember? If you don't want to hear other people criticising you, maybe you should write in a diary and hide it under your mattress.

I love how moronic people can be who not only post derogatory comments, but hide behind anonymous titles as well.

And today I am reminded why I HATE people so much.

The people who visit Rhi's site (for the most part) ARE SUPPORTIVE and positive and love to hear what she has to say.

    And then there's you.
You fucking pain in the ass, shitstirring cuntflap.
    Fuck off, retard.

Sure, this may be the internet, but no one deserves to get slandered for keeping a blog and publishing their thoughts. I'm SURE you wouldn't shit on her like this in real life, you only do it here because you are safe- you whiney, lonely, scared little loser bitch.

Go Rhi, we love you, and are proud you can stand up to the Asshat!

I wouldn't fret about the site design - it works well, renders nicely in Firefox and it's usable - a factor that's all but lost on many webdesigners.

I'd ignore the anonymous cowards too (a marginal improvement over referrer spam but even that's debatable) If they want a challenge they can try and go to town on my journal - and find out it's like to mess with professionals in the Bastardly Arts. :-D

If you are gonna try Firefox, don't forget to try its cousins Mozilla and Camino.

Have you been to http://www.macdailynews.com yet?
